Job description

DVT is looking for experienced C# Software Developers for a contract opportunity within a complex, integrated technology environment.

You’ll work with established applications and services, understanding existing codebases, dependencies and downstream impacts while delivering reliable, maintainable changes. The role suits developers with strong commercial C#/.NET experience who are comfortable working across APIs, integrations and data-driven enterprise applications.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance and maintain applications using C# and .NET technologies.

  • Work effectively within established codebases and understand system dependencies and downstream impacts.

  • Build and support services, REST APIs and system integrations.

  • Translate requirements into maintainable technical solutions.

  • Perform unit testing, investigate defects and support production issue resolution.

  • Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews and Agile delivery ceremonies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong commercial C# and .NET development experience.

  • Experience with .NET Framework and/or modern .NET.

  • SQL Server and data-driven application development experience.

  • Experience developing or consuming REST APIs and integrated services.

  • Sound knowledge of software design principles and patterns.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver safely and effectively within existing systems.

Preferred Experience

  • Microsoft Azure services.

  • CI/CD pipelines.

  • Microservices.

  • Messaging or event-driven architectures.

  • Azure DevOps or similar tooling.
